When we’re not at Disney, the Main Street Pop In team is online checking out all our favorite Disney writers, bloggers, vloggers, and historians. There are simply a ton of places online to get a fix (in addition to Main Street Pop In, of course). Here are our favorites.
Do you need a little snark with your Dole Whip? Tune into the DIS Unplugged podcast every Tuesday to hear the DIS team rave and lovingly rant about all things Disney. The DIS stays on top of every bit of breaking news—whether it’s a new attraction announcement or a new pastry offering. The DIS Unplugged delivers with the perfect mix of magic, skepticism, and humor.
Mouse Planet writers offer a treasure of interesting stories and insights into the Disney parks in California and Florida. They have some serious contacts, and they do really detailed research. You will definitely learn something new every time you visit.
Remember those dictionary-sized guide books to Disney? Passporter has wrapped up all that info into one easy Live Guide. You will never be left with outdated information about Disney ever again. Access to the Live Guide does require a fee.
All Ears offers a top-notch weekly newsletter and more. The site posts every Disney menu on property and contains an extensive gallery of resort photos. (If you want to see what every nook and cranny of a resort looks like, it’s the place to go.) The All Ears newsletter is packed not only with news, but with one-of-a-kind features, reader tips, quizzes, and tear-jerker “Magical Moments.” Visit at allears.net
Connecting with Walt
Connecting with Walt is part of The DIS network, but it’s so unique that we gave it its own shout out. The quarterly podcast dives deep into Disney history. Hosts Michael and Craig cover every detail of Walt Disney’s life and works. They also provide extensive insight into the life of Walt’s very private brother, Roy Disney.
Disney Food Blog
DFB’s lives and breathes its slogan, “Food IS a Theme Park.” Their vlogs are beautiful and really make you want to try every delicious suggestion. From romantic, high-end dining to where to get the best burger, DFB is there to inspire.
Disney Parks Blog
We have to give props to Disney here. The official Disney Parks Blog is visually stunning, and of course has the scoop on pretty much EVERYTHING! We love photos at Main Street Pop In, and who can set up a better shot than Disney itself?
